MOBILE PHYSIOTHERAPY

Flexible, family-friendly therapy delivered where your child lives, learns, and plays.

Our sessions are tailored to each child’s goals and may include hands-on therapy and individualised exercise programs designed to build strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and agility. Therapy is delivered through play-based activities and games, making sessions fun, engaging, and meaningful while supporting your child’s participation in everyday life at home, school, and in the community.  We also liaise with your child’s school, daycare, or sports team to promote carryover of therapy goals and enhance your child’s participation and confidence in these environments.

CONDITIONS WE TREAT

We support children with a wide range of developmental, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.

Lisa, your experienced children’s physiotherapist, has a special interest in early intervention—the stage where children have the greatest opportunity for growth, learning, and positive change.

If your child’s condition isn’t listed below, please reach out. We’re always happy to discuss your child’s needs, and if Little Skippers isn’t the best fit, we’ll point you toward services that are.

Developmental Delay

Some children need extra support to reach milestones such as rolling, sitting, crawling, and walking. This is often seen in children who were born prematurely or spent time in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Nursery.

Low Muscle Tone

Children with low muscle tone (hypotonia) may feel “floppy” and find it harder to move against gravity. They can also tire more easily than their peers, which may affect how they participate at school, during play, and in the community.

Cerebral Palsy

Kids with cerebral palsy face challenges with posture, balance, and movement and benefit from targeted exercises, while mobility or orthotic equipment may be recommended to support independence and participation.

Genetic Conditions

Many genetic conditions, including Down syndrome, Prader–Willi syndrome, DiGeorge syndrome, and Williams syndrome, can affect muscle tone and movement resulting in delays in reaching motor milestones.

Coordination Difficulties

Balance or coordination challenges, including Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), can make everyday tasks—like running, skipping, or riding a bike—harder to master.

Neurological Conditions

Children with muscular dystrophy, Charcot–Marie–Tooth disease, spinal muscular atrophy, brachial plexus palsy, or spina bifida often benefit from physiotherapy through therapy and assistive technology.

Chronic Fatigue or Pain

For children with chronic pain or fatigue, we provide graded exercise programs and pain management strategies to help them build endurance safely and avoid the “boom–bust” pattern of overactivity and rest.

Joint Conditions

Orthopaedic and rheumatological conditions, including hypermobility and juvenile idiopathic arthritis, may result in children experiencing pain, instability, and subsequently fatigue.
